(Slightly edited version.) October 29, 1997 To whom it may concern: Pursuant to the agreement that (name deleted) and I signed on September 2nd of this year, I will be vacating my position as Console Operator at the end of this week (October 31). That agreement, which was negotiated in a meeting between (names deleted), and myself, on August 29, 1997, outlines the terms of my dismissal. It is with a great deal of pride that I leave SNE. I could not be more proud of the exemplary performance that I have exhibited throughout my tenure. I am pleased to say that in the last weeks of my employment I was able to train two new employees to replace me. Over the course of the last eight years I have become close to (names deleted), so did not want to leave them short-handed, thus the 60 day compromise. I am confident in the abilities of my replacements and therefore take with me the satisfaction that my work there is now complete. While it is unfortunate that nearly eight years of service has lead to this disappointing end, I look optimistically toward the future and am extremely happy to be moving on. Nobody thought, four years ago, that Mamis would still be in operation today. In that time my eyesight, with correction, has diminished to 20/400 in my left eye, and hand movement only with the right. Given the cost of the accommodations necessary to make it possible for me to continue in my present position, along with the temporary yet open-ended nature of that position, it was agreed by all in the aforementioned meeting that it was time for me to leave SNE. Now comes the time for me to get the training I need to find more suitable employment. For the sake of the circa-2400 employees of the company, I wish the best of luck on the conversion to the new computer system. Sincerely, Gregory D. Roggeman
