Well, I suppose I should sit down here and get something new out here. Once I get to slackin', I really let it slide. So, now that I've got the dishes done, I thought I'd get started on getting caught up on my journal.
I'm only three weeks behind, and looking back on this week, I remember why I didn't write about it when I should have; not all that much of interest happened during the week. I focused on my classes, for the most part.
The highlight of this week was a cookout at Stephano's. Julie picked me up and we went together. Sitting on the patio, sipping a nice wine and taking in the bouquet of pork chops broiling over fiery charcoal, it was as though nothing had changed. It's a strange thing to have your wife drop you off at the end of the evening, though; the house is very empty without her but I know our friendship will endure.
I expected an increase in email over the last couple of weeks, in response to the biggest news to date here in these pages. I don't go over the logs as thoroughly as I used to, but in glancing at the stats, it doesn't look like very many people have been reading. Don't worry, though, those of you who have been reading; I plan on continuing this column even if no one reads it. I've found it very valuable to me to be able to go back and reminisce over a few "snapshots" in time, and it's value to me will grow as I do.
And now, since I'd only be babbling if I go on, I'll cut this week's entry short -- I think I'll do a little reminiscing to fill next week's space.
